On Wednesday, December 16, Atlas Corps hosted the Virtual Global Impact Gala. The event was our largest gathering to date. We brought together more than 250 friends of Atlas Corps, our Fellows, Scholars, and Alumni worldwide, and thousands of virtual viewers for a celebration.
Highlights of the evening included inspiring words by Atlas Corps Founder & CEO Scott Beale and the presentation of the Atlas Corps Global Changemaker Award to Dr. Madeleine Albright. Singer, Songwriter, and Composer Ari Afsar performed a song from a new musical, Jeannette.
In the second part of our Gala event, Scott Beale presented the Atlas Corps Alumni Changemaker Award to Alumna Medha (Class 16, Nepal) for her global contribution to support women and girls by protecting their sexual and reproductive rights. Alumna Patience (Class 33, Nigeria) performed a spoken word and read her poetry.
